Sstudents completing this course will receive all of the new NFPA 1006 Professional Qualifications (2008 edition) Job Performance “Core” Requirements of Chapter 5, and much of Chapter 6, Specialty Area Job Performance Requirements for Rope Rescue Technician Level I. However, this course focuses on "climber-based" rescue - participants will explore expedient methods, working with minimal equipment, and thinking "outside of the box" to accomplish the mission.
Four day courses are designed with the special needs of military and other government units. SAS instructors teach standard industry practices, but with a tactical approach, suitable for military, border agents, and others working in severe mountain environments. We also offer discounted rates on equipment sales, along with detailed and thorough instruction in its use, including military specific gear unavailable to the public.
Most participants will choose one of the scheduled 4 day programs, but feel free to customize your own course based on unit needs. Courses require min. 4 participants. Maximum ratio is 6 students to 1 instructor.
